Work on the cutting edge of global technology adoption. A national law firm with global clientele seeks a proactive, highly-organized, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to a transactional partner who is a globally recognized expert in legal matters relating to blockchain technology. The Executive Assistant serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the partner. This individual will work in a fast paced, demanding environment where they will need to be able to multi-task as this position requires someone who is mission-driven and results-driven.
The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position includes the following principal responsibilities:
- Supports the Partner in managing relationships with clients, prospects and contacts as well as within the firm;
- Complex Scheduling: Manage a comprehensive scheduling system, including domestic and international arrangements;
- Travel Coordination: Organize domestic and international travel itineraries and logistics;
- Works closely and effectively with the Partner to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the transactional department and keeping them updated;
- Helps the partner with tasks such as reviewing, prioritizing and responding to emails; and organizing documents;
- Uses firm software including databases (document management, practice management and customer relations management) to support operations and business development; and
- Drafts basic legal documents including engagement letters

- Solid work ethic - this is not a 9-to-5 job - must be available for moderate amounts of overtime work on an as-needed basis;
- Technology enthusiast who is deeply fascinated by the latest advancements in technology and artificial intelligence;
- Resourceful - willing and able to tackle projects by conducting research of both firm policy and procedure and via external sources to complete tasks;
- Keen judgment and interpersonal skills;
- Team-oriented with an enthusiastic and positive attitude;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and an ability to learn and use various other office software systems (experience with HubSpot, Monday a plus);
- Ability to manage time wisely and efficiently balance competing demands; and
- Genuine desire to learn, develop and acquire additional responsibility.
