Purpose of the job:
Collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for business analysts and data scientists to interpret. Designing, building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines. Support data simulations, model training, and model evaluation.

Required Education:
- Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field or possess relevant experience in lieu of education.
Required Certification:
Required Experience and Competencies:
- Strong engineering background, preferably in fields such as: Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics
Familiarity with:
- Data structures
- Storage systems
- Cloud infrastructure
- Basic statistics
- Visualization tools
- Proficiency with programming languages such as C++, Python
- Experience with the data constructs and analytical tools in an Azure cloud environment and/or the technical acumen to rapidly develop those skills. Working knowledge of Python, R.

- Able to work equally well in a self-directed and/or team environment.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Work directly with technical resources to understand the data sources within the business and with data scientists and analysts to understand how that data needs to be shaped for analysis.
- Build data models, pipelines, and workflows to source, acquire, consolidate, clean, and structure data for use in data science and analytical applications.
- Improve data quality and reliability. Create methods to validate data.
- Develop, test, tune, and/or redesign medium to complex SQL queries.
- Pursue continuous learning consistent with changes in the businesses need for data and the tools and techniques used to analyze it.
- Run simulations as specified, maintain a log of completed simulations and troubleshoot basic errors.
- Identifying, designing and implementing internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
- Building required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
- Building analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $106,000.00 - $136,000.00 per year
