Our Position
The Human Resource (HR) Generalist is responsible for the daily functions of the Human Resources department including but not limited to end-to-end onboarding of new hires, managing the pre-employment process, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist will assist with audits, employee performance, and employee relations issues or evaluations

Your Responsibilities
- Work with leadership to drive employee engagement and improve employee retention.
- Conducts or acquires background, drug screen, tuberculous screenings, motor vehicle, education, and other eligibility verification screenings or checks.
- Manages the pre-employment and onboarding process including but not limited to creating/submitting onboarding packets, completing I-9 Forms, collecting necessary IDs, licensures, and other pertinent documentation, creating personnel folders, and ensuring all acknowledgement and other required company policy or procedure documentation is signed.
- Reviews pre-employment screens to ensure it matches the company policies and regulations that determine eligibility for hire and submits pre-adverse and final adverse notices, when necessary.
- Creates employee profiles and records in the HRIS system including ADP.
- Provide an efficient and positive experience and communication to the hiring manager and candidate during the pre-employment and onboarding process.
- Builds strong and positive relationships with leadership, HR, and other departments within the company.
- Assists with job fairs and recruitment events.
- Updates recruitment and onboarding metrics and trackers.
- Assists with recruitment and onboarding efforts including implementation of new programs or expansion of business operations.
- Administers email inbox for employee relations and onboarding inquiries.
- Creates and updates SOPs and assists with updating any HR-related policies and procedures.
- Assists with federal, state, and Joint Commission audits and employee relations/performance evaluations.
- Backs up the Senior HR Generalist.
- Keeps updated with new HR federal, state, and city/county laws and regulations.
- Understands and adheres to RI International compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Our Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in human resources.
- 1-3 years of HR Generalist experience including managing onboarding and the pre-employment process.
- Strong expertise in building relationships leadership and supporting departments.
- Experience in enterprise related HRIS Systems (ADP or equivalent).
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Detailed oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.
- Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
- Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 10lbs.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with particular emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
- Must be willing to travel.
