Philanthropy Representative - Remote Position

As a Philanthropy Representative, you will be primarily responsible for delivering a defined contact plan for qualified mid-level donors in your portfolio under the direction of the Director of Philanthropy for mid-level donors. This individual is also responsible for contacting donors with the goal of cultivating relationships, soliciting donations, and achieving revenue targets.
This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, federal, and state regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with a target portfolio of donors who give the define donation goal for the specific period defined with the Director of Philanthropy;
- Implement a deliberate communication plan with a goal of 20 donor contacts per day;
- Cultivate and progress donors to achieve target portfolio revenue goal defined with the Director of Philanthropy;
- Ensure donors on portfolio receive updates, program information, and appropriate gift acknowledgement;
- Effectively collaborate with supervisors, content experts, major gift officers, and other departments through meetings, emails, and phone conferences;
- Effectively and consistently utilize CRM to accurately track donor contacts, activities, and contact outcomes in accordance to defined guidelines;
- Implement and maintain a “moves management plan” to deepen relationships with top donors on assigned donor list;
- In partnership with DE Operations, integrate new donors onto a Mid-level portfolio;
- Work collaboratively and as a team, with the major gift representative to transition donor relationships in their donor journey, as they move between middle and major and vice versa;
- Model Christ in your work, as a ministry to the donors, while seeking to change hearts and transform lives, as they steward resources on behalf of vulnerable children and families;
- Participate in professional development activities and core competency trainings, as necessary;
- Effectively perform job duties outside of regular business hours to include working some evenings and/or weekends;
- Represent Bethany, and its core values, in all forms of communication;
- Complete other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s level degree in Non-profit Administration, Business Administration, Communication, or related field of study from an accredited college or High School Diploma or equivalent with at least two (2) years of experience in a role with relationship development;
- Prior experience with a CRM/DMS system, with Raisers Edge preferred;
- Experience in child/family welfare agency, a plus;
- Demonstrated ability with establishing relationships on the phone;
- Demonstrated ability to stay focused and committed while prospecting, stewarding, and cultivating relationships;
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Must possess strong multi-tasking and project management skills;
- Self-starter with the ability to convey complex ideas and bring outside expertise into the organization;
- Must be analytical and agile in an evolving work environment;
- Possess a “how can I help” attitude within the workplace;
- Must be able to provide professional and superior client service;
- Must have a high level of personal and professional integrity, including the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding donor profiles and personal information;
- Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Must be 21 years old with a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany. Must also pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate insurance coverage;
- Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;
- Subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith and Mission Statement.
Salary disclosure for residents of Colorado, Washington, California, Hawaii, Rhode Island, Washington D.C. & New York: ($47,000-$51,000) base rate plus a 1-25% differential.*
