We are looking for a skilled Video Editor to join their remote team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, with a keen understanding of eCommerce marketing strategies and the ability to create engaging video content that tells compelling brand stories.
Responsibilities:
- Edit high-quality ecommerce videos, including B-rolls, product demos, unboxing videos, customer testimonials, and user-generated content (UGC), tailored to drive sales and engagement.
- Incorporate compelling visuals, smooth transitions, and effective pacing to create videos that resonate with the target audience and enhance the brand’s storytelling.
- Collaboration with Creative Director:
- Work closely with the Creative Director to understand and interpret creative briefs, ensuring that video edits align with the brand’s vision, marketing goals, and specific campaign requirements.
- Translate creative concepts and direction into engaging and visually striking video content that communicates the intended message clearly.
- Utilizing AI and Technology-Driven Concepts:
- Leverage AI-driven video tools and technologies to enhance the editing process, creating innovative video concepts that stand out and cater to the ecommerce audience.
- Implement AI-driven automation in video production, such as voiceovers, content personalization, and editing efficiencies, while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Editing B-Roll and UGC Content:
- Curate and edit B-roll footage, ensuring smooth integration with main product footage and other visual elements for a cohesive final video.
- Edit UGC content to make it brand-appropriate, optimizing it for use in ads, social media, and landing pages to enhance trust and authenticity.
- Attention to Ecommerce Specifics:
- Edit videos that focus on product features, benefits, and selling points, ensuring they align with the ecommerce goals of increasing conversion rates and driving customer engagement.
- Create video ads, landing page videos, and product demo videos that are designed to drive action, optimize click-through rates (CTR), and boost sales.
- Optimizing for Different Platforms:
- Edit videos in various formats, sizes, and aspect ratios optimized for multiple platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and websites.
- Ensure the final videos are adaptable to different campaign types, from short-form social media ads to long-form product videos or explainer videos.
- Sound Design and Audio Editing:
- Edit sound design, including background music, voiceovers, and sound effects, ensuring a balanced and engaging audio experience that complements the visual elements.
- Ensure that all audio components are crisp, clear, and properly aligned with the visuals to maximize the impact of the video content.
- Maintaining Brand Consistency:
- Ensure that all video content aligns with the brand’s guidelines and aesthetic, maintaining consistency in tone, style, and messaging across all video materials.
- Use brand-approved graphics, fonts, and visual styles to create a cohesive look and feel throughout each video.
- Video Quality Assurance (QA):
- Perform thorough quality checks on all video content to ensure that it meets the required standards before delivery, reviewing footage for errors, continuity issues, and technical problems.
- Verify that all final video edits are fully optimized for the intended platforms and devices, ensuring fast load times and high-quality playback.
- Collaboration and Feedback Integration:
- Collaborate with the creative, marketing, and development teams to gather feedback and refine edits, ensuring the final video meets the team’s objectives and expectations.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and feedback loops, offering creative input and making necessary adjustments to enhance the video content.
- Staying Updated on Video Trends:
- Keep up with the latest video editing trends, techniques, and software updates to continuously improve editing skills and adapt to new creative opportunities.
- Experiment with new video formats, effects, and tools to ensure content stays fresh, relevant, and effective in a fast-paced ecommerce landscape.
- 3+ years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in eCommerce or advertising
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other video editing software
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of video projects, including ads and promotional content
- Excellent storytelling abilities with a deep understanding of marketing principles
- Ability to work independently in a remote work environment and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for creativity
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of social media platforms and eCommerce trends is a plus
