We are currently seeking a Scientific Strategic Consultant who is a forward-thinking consultant passionate about enabling life science organizations to achieve their goals through innovative scientific and digital solutions. You excel at working cross-functionally with stakeholders across biopharmaceutical, CRO, and CDMO organizations to design and deliver strategies that address their unique challenges.
What we’ll get you doing:
Customer Engagement and Strategic Consulting: Collaborate with customers to understand their scientific workflows and operational challenges. Deliver expert advice and develop tailored strategies to optimize data management, collaboration, and compliance in research, development, and manufacturing.
Solution Design and Implementation: Design end-to-end digital solutions that integrate seamlessly into customer environments, enhancing efficiency and data quality. Facilitate workshops and discussions to identify customer needs and align them with IDBS’ software capabilities and work closely with technical teams to customize platforms to meet customer requirements.
Commercial Activities and Business Development. Identify and pursue professional services opportunities by engaging with customers to uncover needs and propose value-driven solutions. Collaborate with the sales team to create and scope projects, maintain strong customer relationships for repeat business and upselling, and drive revenue by closing consulting and professional services engagements.
Industry Insights and Thought Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor, providing actionable insights that address emerging challenges in BioPharma, CRO, and CDMO sectors. Represent IDBS at industry events, conferences, and webinars, showcasing our expertise and solutions.
Data-Driven Decision Support. Develop data analytics and visualization strategies to enable customers to make informed decisions. Guide customers in leveraging real-time data insights to drive innovation and operational improvements.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement: Partner with internal teams, including sales, product management, and professional services, to align on customer goals and contribute to the continuous evolution of IDBS’ solutions by providing feedback based on customer experiences and market demands.
Here is what success in this role looks like:
Advanced degree (PhD preferred) in life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in consulting or solution delivery within the BioPharma, CRO, or CDMO industries.
Strong understanding of scientific workflows, regulatory requirements, and data management challenges in life sciences.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to design and implement tailored solutions.
Experience with informatics platforms, data analytics tools, and cloud-based technologies is highly desirable.
50% travel required including international

The salary range for this role is $130,000-145,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
