Role Overview:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Building Code Consultant/Code Compliance Expert to provide insights and guidance on building plan reviews and code compliance. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. An ideal side hustle for professionals looking to share their expertise with a forward-thinking team.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in 2–6 hours of remote video calls per week, offering insights on building code requirements.
- Guide our team through the building plan review process and explain how to ensure projects meet ICC, IBC, and IRC standards.
- Collaborate in a conversational environment, answering questions and providing actionable advice.
What We’re Looking For:
- Required:
- Proven experience in building consulting, code compliance, plan review, or a related field.
- Certifications with the International Code Council (ICC)—the more, the better!
- Preferred:
- Experience working in a municipal building department is a significant advantage.
