Union Agener is looking to expand our Team with a highly skilled Commercial Sales Rep. This position will be100% remote and responsible for managing the sales efforts of our products, while developing and maintaining client relationships, analyzing current strategies and developing improved action plans. This position will analyze potential and existing client needs and solutions while demonstrating technical detail product benefits, provide technical field support to customers and assume some basic account management roles and responsibilities.

Position Description:
· Assist with writing technical documentation for products quotes or responses to RFP’s.
· Familiar with industry-specific commercial terms for supporting distributors, end-user customers, and contractors.
· Coordinate selling activities with sales director to meet targeted sales goals within region.
· Grow and protect the Union Agener portfolio.
· Delivery Annual Operation Plan, AOP, for the region, managing sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue projections and expense controls.
· Open new customers, identify commercial opportunities and strategies to develop new business.
· Analyze market data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
· Demonstrate understanding of market access opportunities, challenges and effectively communicate pull through tactics supporting customers.
· Assist with development, presentation, and/or response to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses.
· Develop and drive business with targeted accounts (primarily key influencers/consultants and companies to drive sales).
· Focus on the most influential consultant groups, independents, feed companies, veterinarians, and select large dairies in the territory.
· Monitor local and federal regulations.
· Bid on new projects and negotiate contract terms.
· Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with clients, suppliers, and other business partners.
· Maintain technical and professional knowledge by reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
· Execute long-and short-term sales strategies.
· Provides service and product enhancement recommendations to improve the sales potential and customer satisfaction.
· Accountable for delivering sales results and implementing agreed strategies and plans.
· Performs special projects as required.
Qualifications / Skills:
· Sales experience in dairy industry, feed/nutritional, animal health, key accounts or strategic account skills preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with farmers.
· Customer service and negotiation skills.
· Detail and results oriented.
· Strong Interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage the organization of multiple client accounts.
· Ability to influence across multiple disciplines: i.e., veterinary, nutritional, processing, feed milling, sales and marketing, and senior management, or comparable demonstrated skill.
· Demonstrated ability to learn, apply and communicate technical/scientific knowledge.
· Strong selling skills and strategic planning ability
Minimum Qualification (Education, Experience and/or Training, Required Certifications):
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Veterinary medicine or Agriculture
· Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in a competitive selling environment.
Experience and Skills:
· Vet technologists and technicians
· Master’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management or Sales/Marketing
· Preferred international business experience, to include knowledge of Brazil-American business culture.
Additional Preferences:
· Must be able to travel up to 70% of the time. Some overnight travel may be required.
· Position is field based; work is in the field interacting with customers.
