Position Title: Director of Co-Manufacturing and Private Label Accounts

Position Justification:
The Freeze Dry/Kibble Private Label and Co-Manufacturing Accounts Director will work directly with the EVP of Co-Manufacturing and Private Label to manage current accounts as well as help identify, and close new private label and co-manufacturing freeze dry and kibble sales opportunities. The individual will be the face of BrightPet for key retail partners with ownership of their private label business relationships. Their expertise in Freeze Drying and/or Kibble will lead communications with current private label and co-manufacturing business as well as new product development projects, assisting them through the BrightPet stage gate process for both new and current customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interact with BrightPet freeze-dry and kibble production facilities, R&D, finance, and procurement teams while completing projects and consult/advise customers as needed on current business and on new projects
- Work with new customers to onboard efficiently and effectively from project inception to launch
- Consult in the development of new products
- Aid/manage package development for new products from concept through testing and initial full production.
- Support and/or manage other ad hoc projects assigned from time to time that do not relate to a specific customer.
- Meet with clients and senior management to provide updates and reports as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential for Success:
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, business administration, international business, marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
- 5 years of marketing and sales along with operational experience and working in a cross-functional business environment, preferably for a manufacturer of consumer-packaged goods
- Experience working in the freeze dry or kibble pet food space highly preferred
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills specifically in relation to working with multinational cultures.
- Ability to be flexible as required and communicate cross functionally with internal partners.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
- Thrives in a fast paced energetic and entrepreneurial environment
- Previous cross-functional experience working between multiple departments.
- Experience building strong relationships and working with a range of levels in an organization
- Action oriented with the ability to think and respond quickly to change
- Demonstrate leadership, problem solving, presentation, and employee motivational skills.
- Ability/documentation to travel globally- holding and maintaining a passport without restrictions.

Travel is expected in this role. The travel expected is estimated at 25% of the time worked.
Work Environment:
Professional office and manufacturing environment. Performance in this position will occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protection equipment such as to follow Food Safety procedures will be required. Floors may be wet and slippery when in the manufacturing area and you will be exposed to temperatures around 40 degrees when on the manufacturing floor. Primary office environment is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
