The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) seeks team members who bring innovation, creativity, and impact to our student body, and who bring a greater depth, breadth, and diversity to our educational and programmatic experiences.

Our CSD program provides online and in-person learning for aspiring speech-language pathologists across the United States. Our program prepares students to become Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) capable of working in any setting, with a variety of disorders, across the lifespan.

The Assistant Director, Program & Student Support will provide day-to-day guidance and support for our students over the course of their program. The Assistant Director will oversee and deliver program and student functions, including admission, advising, academic progress, immersion planning, and placement support. The Assistant Director will work cross-functionally with CSD department members, central offices, and business partners to inform and deliver cohesive services and support to our students. The Assistant Director will be responsible for leveraging student information systems, enterprise platforms and communication relationship management (CRM) software to manage and maintain records, secure data, and analyze information.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Interpret and apply holistic admission criteria to determine an applicant's eligibility for enrollment.
Utilize admission system(s), processes, protocols and review portal.
Review and analyze course descriptions and syllabi, and other documents to evaluate educational requirements.
Represent the program at school events, conferences, and serve as a representative on student webinars.
Consistently uphold and support academic, clinical and curricular accreditation standards by effectively enforcing policy and practice.
Maintain currency on American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) guidelines.
Maintain an advising caseload, monitor academic progress, and meet with students each semester. Consult with colleagues to identify, escalate and document student challenges and progress.
Provide guidance and resolution on student escalations and performance improvements.
Oversee and advise the student portfolio process.
Lead student and placement supervisor sessions to collate feedback and evaluate outcome data.
Provide support for student comprehensive exams.
Organize and host student-facing office hours, topical sessions, program webinars and town halls.
Collaborate with college offices to ensure a positive, cohesive and streamlined student experience.
Analyze data and timelines to inform and advance student and program supports and outcomes.
Inform program content to ensure policies, program requirements and protocols are current.
Inform, develop and implement Immersion programming.
Plan, prepare and participate in virtual and campus events by coordinating and leading sessions, facilitating forums and preparing the student, faculty and staff experience.
Evaluate processes, protocols and cadences for continual improvement.
Inform and advance program resources and central hubs.
Develop and present proposals, findings and results to management and stakeholders.
Utilize multiple student databases and enterprise platforms (Banner, WorkDay, Argos, Salesforce, etc.) to maintain accurate records and analyze reports.
Attend and support virtual and campus-based events that will include evenings and several weekends throughout the year.
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform job.

Master's degree with national certification in speech-language pathology required and Massachusetts state licensure preferred.
4-6 years of experience as a clinical instructor in a community setting or in administrative leadership within an academic setting required.

Advanced analytic, technical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of the intricacies of an academic program cycle is preferred.
Ability to devise solutions with limited information and use experience or precedence to resolve issues.
Fluent in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suite and webinar technology, familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and presentation software to support remote work and learning.
Able to work occasional nights, weekends, and all program Immersions.
Able to present effectively to small and large groups and to work productively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Able to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability and comfort to handle multiple tasks and projects.
Able to exercise sound judgment and employ decision-making skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Experience managing heavy volume in a deadline-driven environment, and the ability to manage multiple timelines.
Fluency in developing, documenting and implementing standard operating procedures.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with personnel at various levels.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to present effectively to small and large groups while working productively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community.
Able to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality.

Compensation: $62,600.00 - $76,700.00 annually, commensurate with experience.

This position will be exclusively represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 888 for purposes of wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
