Osha Bergman Watanabe and Burton LLP (OBWB) is currently seeking candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Trademark Team. Candidates must have experience working closely with attorneys to assist with drafting and filing foreign and domestic trademark applications, managing the trademark docket and portfolio, monitoring trademark infringement, and conducting trademark searches. Candidates must also be comfortable working remotely and be eager to learn and work autonomously, while receiving and following instructions.

What is a trademark paralegal?

Trademark paralegals are involved in all aspects of filing and prosecuting trademarks. The position requires strong knowledge of trademark practice and also excellent written and oral communication skills.

What qualifications are required for this job?

Applicants must:

have a 4-year undergraduate degree (in any field) and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited paralegal program.
have at least 3 years of work experience as a trademark paralegal
work well with others as part of a team
be legally able to work in the United States
have native or near-native fluency in English
be very familiar with basic computer and word-processing skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
be extremely organized and detail-oriented
be a self-starter and interested and motivated to learn new things
