Job Description: Project Administrator (Fully Remote)
Project Administrators work with the administration team to assist with the day-to-day transactions of the company and support project managers. The Project Administrator will assist with bookkeeping as well as support federal and non-federal grants/programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the tracking of expenditures, recording bookkeeping transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reviewing invoices, tracking transactions, providing budget support, and maintaining DCAA compliance.
- Preparing and submitting financial reports.
- Interfacing with vendors, contractors, and internal staff.
This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to evolving job responsibilities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Experience: At least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and 1 year of experience with federal funding.
Skills:
- Experience with Federal cost accounting standards and payroll journal for job costing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- At least 2 years of ERP system experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Unanet GovCon.
- Experience managing Federal R&D awards.
- Familiarity with DCAA-compliant accounting systems and Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- Strong knowledge of multi-year U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) or other federally funded projects.
