Our primary tech stack includes QBO, Uncat, RightTool, TaxDome, ClickUp, and Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
Our firm is 100% remote with our accounting team (5 FTE's) currently entirely offshore. This role offers schedule flexibility, with a need for 2-3x week late afternoon/evening hours with our offshore team depending on your time zone.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Monthly Accounting:
- Prepare and review monthly accounting reports.
- Make sure clients (30-40) receive monthly financials on time each month.
- Resolve team member, client, and accounting app issues fully and accurately, with minimal assistance.
2. New Client Onboarding and Clean-Ups:
- Work with clients and firm owners to onboard new accounting clients. Some new clients need a few corrections to their QBO files. Some need a LOT. Onboarding is the time to make new clients feel they've made the right selection in accounting partners by cleaning up their books quickly & accurately and ensure they are set up for success going forward.
3. Team Growth:
- Train and supervise our junior accounting team members. They are eager to learn and will greatly appreciate your role in their professional growth.
- Find a good balance between delegating vs getting it done yourself. It can be hard, but we'll help you.
4. Client Communications:
- Respond to client communications promptly and effectively via email and portal. Scheduled video and phone calls with clients as needed.
5. Sales:
- Help with prospect QBO assessments - just how messy ARE these books?
- Capacity planning - thinking through the who/what/how/when of providing amazing client service to prospective clients.
- Introduction to prospective clients to help them better get an idea of what working with our firm will be like.
Who You Are:
Personality

Experience
- 5+ years of experience accounting in an accounting firm environment, including using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- 2+ years of experience leading an accounting team
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting a plus
Skill Set

- Great at communication and leading a team
- Dedicated to keeping clients happy
