Position Overview: EllieMD is looking for a highly organized and experienced Project-Based Product Development Specialist to support developing and launching innovative physical products. In this dynamic role, you will engage in vendor research, cost/pricing analysis, packaging, shipping, logistics management, and design collaboration. The ideal candidate has experience in the nutritional or health space, specifically with products like supplements, and has worked in the healthcare, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, or nutrition sectors. If you are passionate about launching products in these areas, this is your chance to make an impact! To ensure effective collaboration and communication, the shift schedule for this role requires an overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST) from 8 AM to 5 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Research: Identify and evaluate potential vendors in the health and wellness, dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceutical sectors. Compare pricing, quality, and capabilities to establish the best partnerships.
- Packaging: Analyze packaging options and costs to ensure solutions align with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and budget constraints.
- Logistics Management: Oversee logistics operations, including warehousing, shipping, and inventory management, to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
- Product Design Collaboration: Partner with design teams, printing vendors, and white-label service providers to ensure product aesthetics meet brand standards and appeal to target customers.
- Shipping Coordination: Assess shipping providers and manage the shipping process to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure successful product launches, while providing regular updates to management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in product development and launch, with a focus on dietary supplements, nutraceuticals, health and wellness, or pharmaceuticals.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in physical product development.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with expertise in project management and supply chain logistics.
- Experience in vendor management, cost analysis, and international shipping coordination.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
