Responsibilities
The Research Division of Strategic Initiatives Business Intelligence team's mission is to provide data and analytics to address high priority business needs in support of Mayo Clinic's Research Shield, working in partnership with strategic leaders to enhance data stewardship and proactive decision making. The Analyst will support the advancement of strategic reporting in the Business Intelligence team and will develop and maintain interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI and other Business Intelligence reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have strong data analysis skills, experience with data visualization (preferably Power BI and Tableau) and storytelling, and a knowledge of various data sources and data environments, including Google Cloud environments. The analyst will work closely with the other members on the Business Intelligence team and business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions.
The Information Management Analyst maintains a broad knowledge of Mayo Clinic's research, financial, and administrative systems and processes with an expert understanding of their interrelationship and dependencies. Responsible for working with division, department, and outside groups' (eg. NCI) customers to gather requirements involving as applicable the following activities: data modeling, data stewardship, data warehousing, applications, reports, and business intelligence applications. Responsible for ensuring plan, design, creation and quality of reports and assessing the performance of reporting tools. Works with data architects and the project team(s) to translate business functional requirements into technical specifications. Recommends appropriate scope of requirements. Assists in the identification and assessment of potential data sources. Coordinates prototype reviews with customers and technical support team. Conducts user acceptance testing. Maintains inventory and functional documentation incl. SLA's. Identifies report audiences, prepares training content, and leads customer training efforts required for the successful release of report/report application changes and additions.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (business intelligence, MIS, HR, research, information systems, biostatistics) with six years related work experience or a Master's degree and three years related experience. Strong analytical, problem solving, metadata, project management, and systems' analysis skills. Must demonstrate ability to logically analyze and trouble shoot data. Able to facilitate a variety of teams and workgroups. History of increased project management responsibilities. Incumbent must be a self-motivated, self-directed and a highly organized individual who will promote a productive, collegial workplace and be a professional ambassador for Mayo Clinic. Belief in the mission and strong ethical conduct is essential. Requires the flexibility to work weekends and evenings when necessary. Occasional travel is required. Requires excellent oral and written communications skills in order to effectively lead meetings and elicit information from customers. Requires the ability to work in a complex environment with multi-dimensional points of view. The incumbent must be able to work effectively in a consensus-style operation that expects and promotes teamwork. Must be comfortable with ambiguity. Must possess the ability to inspire trust and confidence, and communicate effectively with internal and external audiences. Must work independently, manage multiple projects and maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer service orientation is essential. Prefer experience with research/clinical trials, MS applications, SQL query language. Fluency in SAS programming language and report development is highly desired.

Compensation Detail Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.; $89,366 - 134,035 annually.
