ROLE: Procurement Specialist
DESCRIPTION: ISS-Guckenheimer is looking for a Procurement Specialist to support tactical activities and strategic initiatives within the Food Procurement team. The Procurement Specialist is the lead point of contact in supporting field operations in the use of approved suppliers of goods and services, vendor onboarding, new account openings, day to day vendor issue resolution and the escalation of priority matters to senior leadership. The Procurement Specialist will play an important role in supporting Managed Order Guides, preparing reporting from internal and external data providers, developing communications to field operators and being part of strategic project teams. The ideal candidate will possess a high attention to detail as well as an understanding of Procurement/Supply Chain Process and Principles within Foodservice. Routine interaction with vendors and Senior ISS managers is anticipated.
This position will report to the Director of Procurement and work in close support with all members of the Procurement team to execute and track category plans and at times support development of project/saving plans affecting key categories.
BUSINESS NEED (Benefit): Enhanced compliance and tracking of saving projects in alignment with the category strategy and streamlined communication of the account Procurement/Supply Chain needs. This position will provide enhanced alignment between Procurement, Operations and other elements of the Guckenheimer team that create a shared alignment toward business goals.
KEY TASKS:
- Addressing needs of Guckenheimer cafes throughout the United States.
- Tracking, managing, and communicating vendor offerings.
- Reviews the preferred supplier list and spend to ensure proper policies and vendors are being followed.
- Analyses and reports spend/ data trends for different categories and products.
- Works with Category Managers to develop and deploy various RFP/Bid Documents
- Assists in developing policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the support of culinary and procurement software (vendor data, EDI support, etc.)
- Managed Order Guide administration support
- Spend Reporting – Sievo, distributor, manufacturer, etc.
- Field Communications – Recalls, Produce Weekly Updates, Policy Updates
- Contract administrative support and reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely Rebate forms administration
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years in Foodservice Procurement/Supply Chain or working as an operator or within a support role to operators of foodservice establishments
- Related bachelor’s degree (Finance, Supply Chain, Business, other)
- Experience in conducting procurement savings initiatives, spend analysis, supplier performance management, and other procurement program
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be a team player and committed to working in a quality environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills required
- ERP experience preferred
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Emotional Maturity: Ability to build constructive relationships to influence internal and external stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $67000 per year - $80000 per year Final compensation will be determined based on experience and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
