Role Snapshot
Our Disaster Recovery Analyst will be reporting directly to the Support Services Manager and will manage WPS’s technical Disaster Recovery Program. This Disaster Recovery Analyst will support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) / Business Reliability (BR) projects that help to mitigate risks related to people, data, property, and business operations. This analyst will be responsible for assisting in incident management and enterprise crisis management, for leading the annual DR exercise, and for participating in a variety of annual internal and external audits. This position is critical to ensure WPS’s readiness and recovery in the event of a crisis or disaster.
In this role you will:
- Assist with the modification, creation and facilitation of annual reviews of business continuity, disaster recovery and business resiliency processes, systems, and program documentation.
- Provide enterprise-wide direct support to all business units on incident and crisis management and DR planning.
- Maintain summarized and detailed metrics on crisis management, readiness, crisis and incident reporting, DR and perform gap analysis and controls assurance program reviews as necessary in areas critical to the operational effectiveness of WPS.
- Monitor resolution of identified issues and ensure appropriate corrective and preventive actions are taken.

What will I gain from this role?
- Serving as the BCM and DR interface with all functional areas of the organization and other corporate safety and emergency-oriented programs.
- Participating in the education and training of industry standards such as ISO 22301, BS25999, DRII PP, BCI GPG, NFPA1600, ASIS BCM.01-2010 to our WPS employees.
- Play a key role in facilitating annual or more frequent BC and DR drills and exercises.
- Becoming/remaining a member of industry trade organizations such as the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) or the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII).
- Working in a highly complex, highly security conscious environment that has a security umbrella that encompasses Health Insurance, contracts with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Department of Defense (DoD).
- Working in an environment that serves our Nation’s military, veterans, Guard and Reserves along with their families.
Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of related work experience within technical Disaster Recovery.
- 3 or more years of crisis management, DR and or BR.
- Current Business Continuity Certification (e.g., ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, MBCP, MABR, or equivalent).
- Group facilitation experience.
- Experience with document management tools such as ServiceNow or Archer.
- Understanding of NIST controls and MAC ARS controls.
- Practical working knowledge of consulting and industry methodologies that support effective Business Continuity Management program development.
Salary Range
$80,000 ~ $95,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may fall outside the posted range.
