BAE Systems is seeking a Government Property Manager to join the ES Finance Team.
This position is intended to be based out of the Nashua, NH site, however
remote work will be considered for the ideal candidate if they aren't local to southern NH. The manager will oversee the Government Property Administrators located at different sites cross the United States and
will be required to travel 10-15% of the time. The selected candidate will be involved with and responsible for a broad range of customer and government property oversight matters to include administrative control, management, and accountability of BAE Systems Government and Customer Property in all life-cycle processes, including acquisition, distribution, maintenance, utilization, replacement and disposal.
Responsibilities:
- Leads the Government Property Management function, including problem resolution and acting as liaison with Programs, procurement, contracts, corporate entities, and other functions.
- Develop and design training on company policy for handling customer and government property to direct reports and other functional areas to include Government Property Representatives, Contracts, and Procurement.
- Write a significant amount of correspondence to internal and external customers, suppliers, and DCMA personnel. Prepare draft procedure changes to implement FAR/DFARS requirements or locally directed management changes. Prepare status reports to management on departmental activities. Originate and process documentation required for all transactions.
- Develop process and procedures for performing Self Assessments to determine process control and measurements of all cognizant business units.
- Responsible for resolving complex systems problems. Analyze current practices for deficiencies and determines potential corrective action. Develop strategies, testing and analysis methods for more complex problems with limited guidance from management. Develops practical and economic solutions to property problems with high complexity in compliance with given requirements.
- Responsible for preparing presentations for internal/external peers, and customers.
- Demonstrated ability to develop complex to highly complex self-assessments to validate our system effectiveness.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications.
- Direct the work of less senior personnel.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Required Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years professional work experience or equivalent experience
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of Property professionals and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse work teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Solid working knowledge of FAR part 45, DFARS part 245 and the contract clauses dealing with government property.
- Writing skills must be adequate to write procedures implementing FAR/DFARS changes and make the necessary reports and correspondence.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills to interface with government representatives and internal departments.
- Demonstrate superior presentation, communication, team building and leadership skills required for regular communication with business leadership.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Good planning, time management and organization skills.
- Sound interpersonal skills used when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with Company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.
- Proficiency in use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database development programs (such as Word, Excel, Business Objects, and Access).
- Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $113080 - $192280
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
