We’re looking for a talented long-form video editor to join our team long-term and help us produce high-quality videos for our YouTube channels.
We're looking for an experienced, proactive, fast editor who is available full-time (not part-time or freelancing) and can deliver a video draft daily. This is not just a gig — we're building a team of people we can count on long-term.
You’ll be editing educational, tutorial, and review-style videos, primarily focused on:
- Business Formation
- Side hustles
- Entrepreneurship
- Personal Finance
- Platform Reviews
- YouTube Growth and Tools
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1 high-quality video draft per day (5–15 mins per video), estimate 15-20 videos / per month
- Cut dialogue tightly and cleanly to maintain pacing
- Add relevant b-roll and screenshots (requires research and attention to context)
- Edit platform tutorials and reviews that match the host's dialogue
- Color grade to a consistent and clean visual look
- Add subtle motion graphics or simple callouts when needed
- Create engaging yet minimal edits that hold the viewer's attention
- Follow established video templates and adapt when needed
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Highly reliable and consistent with daily output
- Experience editing for educational or business YouTube channels
- Able to work independently and take initiative with minimal guidance
- Has worked with a creator/team producing 15+ videos per month
- Understands YouTube pacing and audience retention strategies
Tools & Skills:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro
- Strong skills in:
- Clean cutting and sequencing
- Color grading
- Audio cleanup and balancing
- Finding relevant b-roll (stock and sourced from platforms)
- Simple motion graphics (a plus, not required)
- $50 per video, paid per project
- Potential for increased rates over time based on performance and consistency
