Tapestry Business Analyst for a
Contract assignment with one of our premier
Healthcare clients in
Los Angeles, CA. (100% Remote PST hours) Responsibilities :
- Gather requirements, write, clarify, and interpret specifications for applications developers to build and manage portals, data capture tools, customized extensions to the Bl architecture, and integration with the enterprise service- oriented architecture (SOA).
- Oversee the cohesion of the variety of platforms and technologies that comprise the business intelligence stack that drives the FPG workspace data warehouse. Establish procedures for promoting best practices in reporting needs between environments (development, test, production.)
- Work with team members and cross functional partners and leverage machine learning, deep learning, NLP, graph algorithms and Big Data technologies
- Manage and cite the processes used to develop the semantic layer and metadata, and any reusable and shareable constructs to be used by the Analytics Core and end users.
- Engages with stakeholders, identifies risks, and collaborates with business users, technical teams, and functional teams to develop specifications.
- Creates technical workflow design and development with use cases found in an enterprise IT environment utilizing data capture tools.
- Ensure delivery and successful adoption of Bl tools by identifying and offering appropriate training needs or effective support.
- Remain up to date on industry best practices, offers solutions in aligning Bl architecture with business units.
- Determines the process and requirements gathering management methodology practices.
- Actively collaborate with other application development teams in the enterprise to create an open, learning environment to define business processes and associated system requirements.
- Perform moderate to complex research and analysis on a variety of topics related to the overall support of business operations.
- Collaborate with organizational Teams and Business to better understand operational needs.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements
- Participate in special projects and initiatives that are designed to improve operational efficiencies and overall business performance
- Data Mapping for enhancements, upgrades, and migrations
- Testing and QA
- Produce and deliver the following artifacts as required - Functional and User documentation, data element and table definitions, transaction definitions and use cases
- Identifies information requirements to improve business processes, and supports critical business strategies
- Responsible for issue resolution, maintenance of systems critical to business needs
- Ensure that all forms of technical debt are identified, tracked, communicated, and addressed
- Generate ad hoc reports using BI tools implemented within Decision Support Services including SQL, Tableau, Power BI, SSRS, Python, R, etc.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS in IT related field or relevant experience
- Epic Tapestry clarity reporting certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently with general direction
- Ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels to understand requirements Ability to establish and achieve goals and maintain time lines
- Problem-solving abilities with an understanding of statistical methods
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, data structures and reporting
- Extensive knowledge of best practices regarding reporting, workflows, policies, procedures, systems and culture in the healthcare environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and metadata skills
- Ability to translate business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects
Preferred Skills:
- 4+ years health care IT experience in Managed Care Reporting
- Strong SQL Programming Skills (MS SQL Server/Oracle platforms)
- Ability to program using SAS, R, Python, or Stata for data management and analysis
