Compensation package: $60,000 USD (base salary)

We're a relatively small SEO agency now working with a client base of industry-leading international organizations. We’re looking for a talented, motivated, and forward-thinking individual with a deep understanding of SEO, who is capable of driving change for a wide range of organizations, including those which invest 6 figures annually into their SEO efforts. As an SEO Specialist, you will be essential in handling our existing client portfolios and relationships, spearheading their SEO efforts, and working to close new client leads. This role necessitates a mix of technical SEO proficiency, outstanding communication skills, and a commitment to delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospect Reports
Conduct research and prepare reports for potential new clients.
Analyze competitive landscapes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead Closing
Take the lead in closing leads by providing SEO insights and recommendations.
Present technical SEO knowledge and strategies during client pitches.
Client Reports
Prepare and deliver detailed reports on SEO performance for our existing clients.
Analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve client rankings and traffic.
Links
Internally review backlink opportunities using our in-house software and review system.
Develop and execute strategies to enhance our clients' online presence through high-quality backlinks.
Keyword Sourcing
Manage the keyword sourcing process to identify valuable keywords for our clients' campaigns.
Monitor and adjust keyword strategies based on performance metrics
Existing Client Facing Duties
Manage multiple accounts and strategies at a time.
Communicate with clients, including bi-weekly calls.
Handle various ad-hoc tasks as requested by clients, ensuring timely and effective completion.

Skills required:

Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, measure performance, and drive strategy and discussion.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Must be comfortable in client-facing work that involves regular video calls with ownership and senior management.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.
The ability to naturally adapt in a fast-paced environment and understand how to thrive despite the constant ebbs and flows of your work demands.
The ability to conduct A/B testing, collect and analyze data and results, and identify trends and insights to achieve maximum ROI in organic search campaigns.
The ability to identify areas of opportunity and inefficiency that can lead to a greater increase in KPIs.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of hands-on SEO experience (agency experience preferred).
Experience in a client-facing SEO role.
Proven track record of successful SEO campaigns and driving organic traffic growth.
In-depth understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
Proficiency in SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Moz, and others.
Experience with conducting SEO audits and performance monitoring.
Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.
Experience with technical SEO, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript basics.
Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and similar.
Familiarity with the latest SEO trends, tools, and best practices.

Hours and schedule:

Flexible working hours, but with an expectancy of regular availability during Eastern working hours to allow collaboration with key members of our team in Europe and to facilitate prospect/client communication during US business hours.

Note: In addition to video interviews, the top 5 shortlisted candidates will be asked to undergo several paid trial tasks (paid at a rate of $25 USD /hr) before a final hiring decision is made. These tasks can be completed on your own time and without fixed deadlines.
